Dice, Dragons & Decades of Experience: The Story Behind Dice Store

Arron and Craig formed Dice Store when we realised there was still room in the market for another player — not just any player, but one with a true passion for the game.

Between us, we have over 80 years of gaming experience. That’s not a typo. That’s four decades each of rolling dice, painting miniatures, arguing over rules, getting way too invested in fictional characters, and occasionally flipping a table or two (figuratively, of course… mostly).

We’ve grown up with the hobby, evolved with it, and now we’re proud to contribute to it through Dice Store.

This isn’t just a business for us. It’s a way of life.

Because we love games. All of them. Well… most of them. (More on that in a second.)

We’ve been through it all — from the early editions of Dungeons & Dragons that came in oddly coloured boxes, to the sleek new books that hit the shelves today. We’ve run campaigns that spanned years, built worlds out of notebooks and imagination, and seen more critical fails than we care to admit.

Our shelves are stacked with Song of Ice and Fire books, Legend of the Five Rings (all editions), miniatures and more, and yes — we do have heated debates about whether the books are better than the show (spoiler: they are).

We've spent far too much money on Shadowrun gear, too much time deciphering its rules, and still keep coming back for more cyberpunk and TORG chaos.

Speaking of which — let’s just say Cyberpunk isn’t exactly Arron’s favourite. Craig insists it’s because Arron hasn't let him run it for him, it was someone else who put him off it!

But that’s the beauty of the hobby, isn’t it? There’s a game out there for everyone. Whether you’re a miniature war general, a dungeon master, a storyteller, a dice hoarder, or just someone who loves a good fantasy map — you’re in good company here.

Dice Store isn’t just about flogging dice and shifting stock. We’re building a space for gamers — one that values quality, community, and customer service that actually knows what you’re talking about.

We’ve played the games. We’ve made the mistakes. We’ve spent hours agonising over character builds and laughed until we cried over botched stealth rolls.

We know what makes this hobby so addictive and so rewarding, and we’re here to make it even better.
